Kiddos

Royce is a wonderful big brother!  He loves his baby sister.  And she LOVES him too!! He gets her to smile most of the time.  Royce is growing up so fast!  He did Joy school this last year which ended in May.  He loved it!  He has such great little friends.  He has been doing swimming lessons the last 2 weeks.  I think we are going to have him do 1 more session.  We want to make sure this boy can swim!  He is doing a great job with swimming and seems to enjoy it.  We have been battling potty training with him the last almost 2 years!!!  Well for about a month now he has been going pee in the potty.  And the last 2 days he is going poo in the potty now!  I won't say he is fully potty trained, but doing WAY better than ever before!!  It has been such a rough process!  He is the kid that has to do it his way when he is good and ready.  But we are proud of him needless to say.  :)  Royce says some funny things and does some very entertaining things.  WE are so blessed to have him in our family!

Zoey is our miracle baby!  We are so blessed to have her in our home! She really brings such a peaceful calm spirit into our home and daily lives.  She is so smiley and loving and cuddly!  She has recently found her voice and she can really holler haha.  Zoey has hip dysplasia, there is a pic of her in the harness..  well we tried the harness for 2 weeks and it didn't do anything for her hip.  For now we are just enjoying every single minute of her.  When she is 6 months old she will be put under and the orthopedic surgeon will try to manipulate her hip into place.  She will then be put in almost a full body cast for 4 months.  If the casting doesn't help then she will have to go in for surgery when she is a year old.  Her hip does not hurt her right now, she doesn't know any better so as it is causes no pain.  Zoey really is such a joy!

Zoey Belle

She is always smiling already. Probably having her angels visit with her haha.

her silly "whistle" face

We are a family of 4!!!

Zoey is here! Well she arrived 3 weeks ago today! I just haven't had time to post. WE LOVE this precious amazing little lady! She bring such a strong spirit into our home. She is our miracle baby! Quite a fighter. :)
Zoey was 5lbs 5oz and just shy of 18 inches long. She was 19 days early. Her due date was April 21, 2012. She came April 2, 2012... My body apparently chooses to kick out my babies 19 days before they are due because Royce was also 19 days early.
Sunday night, April 1st I went into labor at 10 pm I wasn't sure if it was serious labor or just false. So I let Reyn sleep while I was wide awake roaming the house and stopping every 6 to 8 minutes for a contraction. I was texting my sister Amanda and asked her if she and Cj would mind coming over to stay with Royce if I was really in labor. She said they would come. By midnight my contractions were still very painful and instead of 6-8 minutes it was becoming 4-6 minutes. So I woke Reyn up and told him I was in labor. The first question he asked me was "what time is it?" I told him it was about 12:15, his response was oh good it isn't April Fools day. Oh gee thanks Reyn lol :) So Reyn loaded the truck up with the things we needed to take to the hospital and called Amanda and Cj. They came by 1 a.m, I think. Then Reyn and I headed to the hospital, I had 3 more painful contractions just on the car ride there. Which only took us 10 minutes to get to the hospital. Reyn dropped me off at the front I went in and signed in, then they put me in triage. I knew without a doubt that I was in full blown labor but the nurse seemed a little skeptical. She figured since I was 3 weeks early that it was probably false labor. She checked me and I was only dilated to 2 cm and 80% effaced. So at 1:30 she told me to go walk around for an hour. That was a long and painful hour, good thing I had Reyn with me to help me wander the hallways and help comfort me. We were back to my triage room by 2:40ish, and she checked me again. I was dilated 4 cm this time. So she had to admit me. After she checked me I felt like I peed the bed. And the nurse checked and said yeah that is probably just pee, then the other nurse came in and said no her water broke and there is Meconium mixed in with it. My contractions intensified very quickly! They kept me on the bed and rolled me into a room and I had to slide onto a new bed. At 3:30 I was prepped for my epidural and by 4 it was in. I could hardly stay still my contractions were so painful. I felt so sick and was shaking like crazy the whole time I was getting the epidural in. Right after I had the epidural in I asked the nurse for a bag and before I could finish my sentence I puked. I felt so bad. I got a new gown and tried to relax but I had so much pressure. The nurse left and Reyn finally laid down to try to rest. I couldn't get comfortable and by 5:30a.m the nurse came back in to check me. I told her I had bad pressure for the last hour and again she kind of seemed like I was exaggerating. She was a good nurse, I just think she was thinking that the epidural would have slowed things down. Well when she checked me I was dilate to a full 10, +1, which means her head was already seen. She immediately got a group of nurses in and woke Reyn up and they called the Doctor. At 6:06 the Dr came in, and I was so sad to not see Dr. Bullaro... She was not on call and wasn't able to get to the hospital on time. I pushed 3 times and by 6:16 a.m I had Zoey pushed out. I couldn't believe how quick it went!!! This labor and deliver was way more intense than Royce's. His was about 30 plus hours. And Zoey was here in 8! The doc had to stitch me up and I felt every needle poke so I told her I could feel my legs and everything and she had to give me lidocaine. Less than an hour after I delivered I got up and went to the bathroom. That is just how quick everything was with Zoey. With Royce I don't remember getting up as quickly. I am so glad she is here and healthy. She took to breast feeding right away and is a super eater :) We went home on Tuesday afternoon.
After we got home on Thursday Zoey had to get an echo cardiogram done. The tech did the echo and afterwards I went back to the room to feed Zoey. My phone rang, I picked it up and it was Dr John Stock, the pediatric cardiologist. He told me he had just got done looking at Zoey's echo and that her heart was perfect! I asked him if he was in his office and he said yes. I told him I was still there too! And he hung up the phone and I could hear him running down the hallway. I opened the door and he gave me a huge hug! He was so excited to get to tell me that Zoey's heart was great! We had 3 echos while I was pregnant and we weren't sure if there was going to be some complications with her heart. So the news that it was perfect was absolutely amazing!! Dr. Stock was so glad he got to meet little Zoey, When he saw her he said "you little miracle baby" She truly is a miracle! We are so blessed to have her in our little family. She is so amazing!
Royce loves his sister. He is struggling with the idea that it isn't just me and him home all day. And Zoey takes a lot of my time from him. But he really loves her so much. He calls her his beautiful little princess. When she cries he says "oh what's the matter sweetheart." It is so precious hearing him talk to her and love on her. I have been so blessed with 2 amazing little children! I love them both so much. I don't get any sleep anymore but good thing Zoey is very very adorable! She is so sweet.

Just a post

Well I haven't blogged in a very long time. We've had A LOT going on these last few months. I don't even know where to begin ha. Back in October Reyn did his rotation at the Show Low E.R. We traveled back and forth a lot those 8 weeks. Then Reyn had a few week break for Christmas and New Years. We had a great Christmas and I don't think we did anything for New Years. Baby Theron (Aubrey and Patricks) baby came into this world December 18th. He is such a sweet little baby! We love him so much. January Reyn started his next rotation in Cardio thoracic surgery. He got a lot of good experience and realized quickly that surgery was NOT what he wanted to do. But he was grateful for the opportunity. That was a long 8 weeks for us. Reyn was gone a lot and tired and trying to write his Capstone as well. I think this is Reyn's 4th rotation now, it is at a Family Practice office. Things are going well with this rotation. he is in his 4th week of it, i think. The hours are long but he is usually guaranteed to be home by 6 or 6:30 at the latest. So we get to spend dinner together and go out on our nightly walk.
I am 35 weeks and 3 days pregnant. Baby girl has come a long way from where we started with this pregnancy. It has been a very rough emotional pregnancy, but the Lord has pulled us through a lot. We know it is the prayers of family and friends that has made this baby girl stronger and healthier each visit. And we know these prayers and faith have gotten us through this hard time. We can not wait to greet this precious perfect baby girl. I get to go to the doctor 3 days a week and get her and I monitored. We know everything is in the Lords hands and we trust that everything will come together as it is supposed to. We are very grateful for the support and love from our family and friends. I am a huge wimp this pregnancy than I was with Royce. My body just isn't holding up as well as it did with Royce. Granted baby girl is sitting on my sciatic nerve and lower half of my body. Royce sat higher and killed my ribs and cut off my airway. It is amazing how completely different the 2 pregnancies have been.
Royce is busy as ever! He never stops, always on the go! He is still doing Joy School and he LOVES it! It has been so good for him socially. He loves to go play with "his kids" as he calls them haha. He is also now in Sunbeams! Which my heck! haha I can't believe my baby boy is already out of nursery and into Sunbeams! He is still warming up to the idea of sitting through primary then class. He mopes and gives me sad faces. I am still teaching primary too so he sees me at the end of the room and stares at me. He waves now but before he would give me the saddest look ever! He is still sad he doesn't get to play with toys anymore and run free. He'll warm up to it eventually I hope haha. We really love our little Royce. He is such a great little boy and we are so blessed to have him in our home. He is very excited about his baby sister. Even though he doesn't realize the huge change she will bring to his life haha. He kisses my belly and constantly says he loves his baby sister. He is going to be an amazing big brother! I do worry about the adjustments to come, but over all I know he will be wonderful with her. I do have him signed up for a preschool that starts in August. I still do not have the 100% YES that he is in. But if he does get in then that will be very good for him.
i don't really have anything else to write about. Things have been busy but just not worthy or blogging about haha.

Finally a Christmas post

I think Dec 23rd we got together with some friends and family. We made ginger bread houses and let the kids play crazy! Then we did a gift exchange with the kids and they loved it. Royce loves having friends over to play with. It's so fun to watch him interact with other kids.

Royce and Reyn putting together a gingerbread house. I think Royce ate candy, lots of candy instead of helping.

Although this picture makes me need to swallow my tongue haha, but it does appear like he is helping. I do think over all though that he just ate and ate and ate candy.

The kids opening and checking out their new gifts :) Royce got Ratatouille, I was more excited than he was. Great gift :)

Our heater was out for a few months. so we got to use the fire place. I love the sound of crackling wood. A fire in the fireplace is so cozy. :)

CHRISTMAS 2011

Reyn: Royce wake up Santa was here with gifts for you.

Royce: No I don't want Santa to come to our house.

Reyn: He just brought you presents, he isn't here anymore.

Royce: Santa said "HAPPY BIRTHDAY ROYCE!"

Me: Santa said "MERRY CHRISTMAS ROYCE!"

Royce: Oh yeah

I am sad, I didn't get a picture in front of the Christmas tree of Royce. Every year I have had a pic of him on a chair in front of it. This was all I got of him near the tree.

We had to wake him up early to get to church at 9. And get his presents opened and showered and ready on time. It took a minute for him to really know what was going on.

Reyn is always so good and prepares a stocking for Royce and I. I am not that great with the secret stocking stuff. But Reyn always fills them up for the 2 of us. Good daddy and hubby :0)
I like how Royce decided to try to shove his whole head into his stocking instead of just dumping it out. lol

Skipping over to see what is in the big box.

I guess I didn't get anymore pictures. He got more geo tracks for his Cars train track. he was so excited for it! We set it up for him and he didn't want to leave it.

We had a wonderful Christmas. We've been so blessed this last year.

Last week of Reyn's rotation - Dec 2011

Our drive home was pretty. We were worried we'd be snowed in. But roads were clear all the way home. And we had a beautiful scenery to enjoy.

Royce was jammed packed in the back seat with all our luggage.

Aunt Hannah and Royce walking in from the fun time in the snow. Royce loved playing outside , but it took probably 15 minutes to really get into it. Once he did it was hard to get him to come back inside.

Eating the snow. He thought it was so neat that he could lick it haha.

The snow was so soft and new that it was hard to make a snowman. And while I was trying to pack it down Royce decided to throw snowballs at me. He thought that was pretty funny.

Every once in a while he would decide to help me pack down the snow. With out throwing it at me.

I love windmills. And when we saw this one I made my dad pull over so we could get a picture of it. It's so pretty!

Royce loves to make snow angels!

My truck didn't move from that spot for a good 3 days i think. But dad was able to bring us back and forth to town when we needed to.

Hole in One! AMAZING! It is out on Bourden Ranch Road and it has one of the best burgers i have ever eaten. Doesn't look like it'd be that great. But seriously sooo good!
